Yes. Live Scan fingerprints are securely transmitted electronically through the FDLE-approved system.
Processing times vary depending on the agency receiving your fingerprints. Many submissions are processed within a few days, while others may take longer.
An ORI number identifies the agency receiving your fingerprints. If your employer or licensing board provides one, bring it with you.
Bring a valid government-issued photo ID such as a driver’s license, passport, military ID, or state identification card.
Appointments are recommended, but walk-ins are welcome based on availability.
Most appointments take approximately 10–15 minutes.
Live Scan fingerprinting electronically captures your fingerprints and securely submits them to the requesting agency for background screening.
